Sole pre-press technician for busy offset printing company. Responsible for typesetting, correcting customer files for spot color printing and platemaking using Herst SmartPlate technology.

Responsibilities ranged from creating original designs to daily production work such as typesetting and platemaking. Oversaw the transition from traditional to digital workflow with the addition of an AB Dick digital platemaker.

Responsible for all advertising design for two monthly magazines, QVegas and Out Las Vegas, as well as maintaining websites for both publications. Also wrote book and film reviews and feature stories.

Catalog Production

Worm's Way is the nation's leading retailer of indoor and hydroponic gardening supplies. While at Worm's Way, I was responsible for a wide range of promotional printed materials ranging from brochures to catalogs. Among my principal responsibilities was the production of a 56-page quarterly mail order catalog. I also designed in-store point-of-sale materials and store signage and posters.
